PhD Student
Alice Veloso Ferreira is a PhD student in the Department of ALM at Uppsala University and part of the WASP-HS graduate school. Her research investigates artificial intelligence as a heritage actor, examining how AI’s infrastructures and cultural narratives shape collective memory and future imaginaries. Approaching AI as a petrocultural extension, she treats narrative as both an archive of cultural memory and an agent for imagining more responsible and sustainable futures. She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage and Sustainability from Uppsala University and has professional experience with UNESCO-affiliated NGOs, working in musical cultural policy at the International Music Council and in literary advocacy at PEN International.
